Clear Lake High School is recognized as one of the top comprehensive high schools in Texas and the United States. Our campus consistently earns academic distinctions from the Texas Education Agency, including honors in Reading/ELA, Math, Science, and Top 25% in Student Progress. We are also proud to be recognized as both a State and National School of Character and to hold the distinction of a 2026 School Transforming Learning.

Known as “The Lake,” our school is ranked by U.S. News & World Report among the top high schools in the nation and is the highest-ranked comprehensive high school in Clear Creek ISD. The Houston Chronicle has ranked Clear Lake High School 10th in the Houston area for College Preparatory performance and awarded the campus an overall grade of A+. The Class of 2026 achieved an average SAT score of 1260, and Clear Lake consistently leads the district in the number of students recognized as National Merit Commended Scholars, Semifinalists, and Finalists. Our students and programs also earn consistent recognition at the state and national levels in Fine Arts, JROTC, Career & Technical Education (CTE), Athletics, and UIL activities.

Clear Lake High School offers a comprehensive curriculum with more than 400 courses designed to prepare students for college or university, technical training, military service, or the workforce. Students may choose from on-level courses as well as advanced academic pathways, including Honors, Advanced Academic, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses, which provide a more rigorous and in-depth study of subject areas.

As the home campus for CCISD’s CTE specialty programs in Biomedical Science (Advanced Academics) and Culinary Arts, Clear Lake High School provides unique, hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for success beyond graduation.
