Dress Code
ID Badges
School Safety is always our first priority at CLHS. We continue to hear of too many instances of unauthorized persons entering school facilities across the nation creating safety threats. Each of these instances reminds us of the importance of being able to properly identify all persons on campus.
Just like all staff members, every student is required to visibly wear a current, school-issued identification badge during the school day. IDs are required to be worn while on campus at all times - including on the bus. CCISD is implementing the use of new student ID badges equipped technology to provide parents the ability to track their student's progress while using CCISD transportation services. IDs will be scanned by transportation personnel before student's will be allowed to ride the bus. ALL students will be required to have this new ID badge technology.
Every student will receive their first ID badge for free. If a student loses or forgets their ID, they will be required to purchase another one for a $7.00 replacement fine. This non-negotiable fine will be added to the student's financial account and is not eligible for reduction or waiver due to participation in assistance services.
Responsibility is key. Falcons always demonstrate good Citizenship.
Dress Code
CLHS faculty and staff respect our students' rights to express themselves in the way they dress. However, our Falcons are also expected to respect their school community by dressing appropriately for both learning and safety. CCISD Dress Code requires all secondary students to wear ID badges at all times during the school day as item #1.
Attire/accessories that obscure or hinder the ability of school personnel to easily identify a person are also prohibited - this includes, but is not limited to, hats/hoodies/unapproved head coverings in the building, sunglasses while indoors, face paint, and/or prosthetic cosplay appendages.
Campus Administration determines if attire is school-appropriate.
