Do we need tickets?
No. Challenger Columbia Stadium can accommodate every graduate's family members and friends. Commencement seating is open to all guests and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Handicap-accessible seating is located on the concourse level on both sides of the stadium. Please be sure to know on which side of the stadium your graduate will be seated, and review the traffic flow maps beforehand to know the correct entrance streets you will need to be seated closest to your graduate.
What can guests bring in the stadium?
The short answer: Small bags or purses only. The clear bag policy will be strictly enforced at the gate, and large bags will not be permitted.
The following items are also prohibited:
- Balloons
- Large signs or banners
- Airhorns or noisemakers
- Bubbles or any other “messy” favors
Prohibited items will not be allowed inside the gates. Guests may be required to return items to their vehicles, have items confiscated, or be denied entry.
All guests attending CCISD commencement ceremonies are expected to be respectful, as these events are reverent community celebrations. Every graduate deserves to hear their name called, and every family deserves the opportunity to see and celebrate their graduate as they cross the stage. The use of airhorns, noisemakers, or large signs can obstruct views and detract from that experience for others. Please be considerate and help make this a meaningful celebration for every graduate and family.
