LTC Holliday received his Bachelor’s in Nursing in 1989 from Excelsior College; Albany N.Y. LTC Holliday commissioned as a Reserve Officer in the United States Army Nurse Corp on March 12, 1991 at Fort Hamilton Brooklyn.

In 1995, LTC Holliday received a master’s degree in public administration from Long Island University, Brookville New York.

In July of 2003, he received orders to report to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington DC. He was assigned to the famous Ward 57, (orthopedics and rehab). This unit cared for numerous wounded warriors. In May of 2004, LTC Holliday deployed to Iraq for 13 months with the 210th Forward Support Battalion, 10th Mountain Division. LTC Holliday also served as the 10th Mountain Division Brigade liaison aiding in the transfer of wounded soldiers to high levels of care.

LTC Holliday’s duty assignments and positions included: Chief Force Health – Barquist Army Health Clinic, Fort Detrick MD, Clinical Nurse OIC Connelly Health Clinic, Eisenhower Army Medical Center Fort Gordon GA, Chief Quality Management, Weed Army Community Hospital Fort Irwin CA, Chief Medical Surgical Nursing Womack Army Medical Center Fort Bragg NC, Clinical Nurse OIC Surgical Telemetry and Surgical Trauma Units Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston TX and Chief Ambulatory Care Nursing, Darnell Army Medical Center, Fort Hood TX. In 2008, LTC Holliday also completed the Command and General Staff College – Intermediate Level Education.

In 2017, while on Active Duty LTC Holliday completed his Ph.D. in Business / Healthcare Administration from Northcentral University Scottsdale, AZ. Also, in, 2018, LTC Holliday received an Honorable Discharge from Active duty and joined Med Detachment 2, Texas Army National Guard. His awards include: MSN - Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, ARCOM – Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement Medal National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Champagne Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the Over Seas Ribbon.

LTC Holliday is excited about this new journey at Clear Lake High School.

Thomas Sotsuda is a retired 1SG with 26 years of military service. Sotsuda's MOS (military occupational specialties) include Aviation Maintenance, Military Intelligence (Korean/Japanese Linguist), Recruiting and Retention. He is also a Certified Small Group instructor and Life Coach. with over 14 years of experience in training, mentoring, and coaching college, high school, and intermediate students in life learning skills.
